This past weekend I went home to see the girls I grew up with.  It’s funny to say “grew up with” because let’s be real, I’m always and will continue to always be growing.  But anyways, my friend Jess is getting married and let me tell you, in a wedding dress she is more beautiful than I could have ever imagined.  Ive never been a happy crier but damn if my eyes didn’t get misty when she found her dress on Friday morning.  Jannie, lives with her boyfriend Tony in literally the dopest townhouse ever.  It’s old and rustic and all her bathrooms have these “sense and spray” air freshners and all weekend I kept thinking, “I wonder if they will notice if I never leave this lovely home.”  Also, we ate Chipotle.  Win.  Becky came on Saturday and we spent the afternoon and evening laughing about our teacher woes.  I’m so lucky to have a best friend who teaches kids who are close in age to my little angels.  Also, it should be known Becks looks amazing-best I have ever seen her and she was celebrating her second wedding anniversary.

There’s something about being with the people who have known you the longest.  Things just make more sense.  I know that I am single and living pretty far away and in a way my life is different than my closest friends, but I’m still just as happy as they are and in fact my happiness is multiplied by their own personal happiness.  I’m happy with life and so are they…

I’m sad that I wont see them again until…but this weekend renewed my faith in lasting friendships, love, the perfect dress and the magic of 4 girls laughing into the wee hours of the morning.
